Each week Deacon Mark will Break Open the Word, an opportunity to learn about, discuss, and reflect on each Sunday’s scripture readings. Held in the South Room, these sessions are not an academic course on the Bible, but an opportunity to deepen faith with a clearer understanding of how scripture grounds our faith. Each week we will “unpack” the Sunday’s readings by answering questions and providing a little information about the background of the readings. Then we’ll “open the floor” for sharing how the scriptures speak to our lives today. Sessions will last about an hour.
